We went to Tansa on our way Igatpuri for Independence day weekend. Though the drive was beautiful the point where Google maps takes us is incorrect. We followed map till the end. Most beautiful drive place from Mumbai.. Bike all u need to see how beautiful is the place... Wildlife is not @ the most just a lake near by to witness the silence of the place... Need a break drive there...

beautiful , serene n peaceful. Visited this place last year during the end of monsoon. It's a restricted area n hence u cannot actually go close to the lake. For bird lovers it's a paradise. U can stay at the forest rest house. Food is provided by the care taker. U can also ask the forest guide to take u... More

I visited this place last year, when I visited a resort in Thane. Approach road is in good condition and scenic too . I recommend this place mainly in rainy season. Be careful while reaching water specifically in rainy season.

Awesome place to visit, just get down at Aatgaon station & piuck any tempo rikshaw, for Tansa damn,but please you carry food foe the same.

very peaceful place to relax your mind. Although you don't have direct access to the lake side but you can enjoy along the dam constructed.

You can easily reach the place from Atagaon railway station via a cab( cost is around 20rs ) but the cabs are overly crowded, if possible take your own ride. The view ofcreaching the lake side from the station is amazing. The are stretches where the road is covered with forest trees on both sides. There is a dam as... More
