I visited early morning and the mist was wonderful. I heard music and followed into a back area where students were practising traditional instruments. Couldn't be happier. I haven't seen a larger Taoist temple . Even bigger than White Clod in BJ.

Meditate under 4000 years old tree! You can feel the history and ancient power here. So many 3000-4000 old trees in one place would be difficult to find elsewere.

Zhongyu temple is the reason to go to Dengfeng! Way better than the Shaolin temple - much more authentic and without the crowds. Would definitely recommend visiting during your trip.
