Just seeing this church makes you want to go inside. And if we had been there on a Sunday then we would have attended church. The church is small but well maintained and they have a few post cards and trinkets that you can donate money for. Don't forget to close the door as they don't like the Donkeys getting... More

Ascension Island is a small island In The south Atlantic Ocean. It does not take very long to visit however there are fantastic beaches and the weather is hot all year round so ... Happy days It is a bit of a hugger to get to as only the RAF and Americans fly into Ascension. Flights are expensive and all... More

We didn't attend a service here but looked through the sanctuary on a week day morning. The striking thing to me was the memorials to people who have died of disease, accidents, and ship wrecks on Ascension Island. This was an unhealthy place at times in the past. it must have felt so isolated.

Joined the locals for the Sunday morning service. Being an Anglican church we had a different experience of worship but enjoyed it nevertheless. The tea and coffee at the Vicarage after the service is a good idea and we got to meet a number of locals and glean useful info on buying fish, places to visit, etc.

A great little church, well kept and presented, with a very warm and welcoming congregation. Service was excellent and the Padre and his wife superb people. Recommended if you are visiting the Island.

What a beautiful place. The door isn't locked, so let yourself in. Such a peaceful atmosphere. I bumped into the vicar who was friendly and welcoming (as you would expect!). Pay a few pence for some postcards or a copy of the bible.
