Excellent display of jewellery

An excellent temporary exhibition of jewellery from the Neolithic, thru the bronze and iron ages, with some very pretty Hellenistic era pieces.

The curator here was very helpful indeed. We had a wonderful time here, the exhibits are beautifully presented and all was in Greek and English. Very pleased with this visit.

Haven't been inside as we came across this attraction and many others by just wandering around the main part of the island. It isn't well named. Can't say much about it.

We stumbled upon this on the Tuesday after Easter (when basically the entire country is still on Holiday) and were pleased to gain admittance to the museum for free! While small, it has a very good presentation of ancient Greek artifacts (everyday household items, jewelry, pottery, art work, etc.) that are labelled very well (in both Greek and english). The... The Archaeological Museum of Mykonos contains exhibitions of ceramics from the graves discovered on Rineia island, headstones, small artifacts, clay statuettes, jewellery and some weapons. Plan on 1 to 2 hours to see the museum. We would have enjoyed it more if the display explanation cards would have had more and better information on them, like in other Greek museums.... More

I tried to visit in early June and found the place was closed for renovations. No indications of when it might reopen, but it looked very closed indeed!

Across from the main harbor, overlooking the Aegean see our shore excursion "Mykonos on Foot" included a guide escorted tour for our group of 24 to visit the Mykonos Archaeological Museum. The Museum has an entrance fee of 1 Euro per person and houses pottery from Delos, grave statues, stelae and jewelry from the island of Renia and the Delos... More

Overlooking the Aegean sea, this town offers a lot for touristic eyes. The white colored narrow streets and the famous Paraportiani Church is simply amazing!
