Mykonos is not for everyone, our recent visit, on a cruise liner, was our third, it speaks for itself. We are already looking forward to the next visit. Matoyianni is the principal artery of a rather strange town where it is possible to spend a...More

What a wonderful maze of streets and shops and restaurants and people. This street and the surrounding ones welcome you with little surprises of lovely flowers and views and things you may want to take home with you.... first among them, memories.

It’s fun to explore the shops down the different paths. Take the bus in for easy on/off and just spend the evening shopping and have a relaxed dinner. Make sure you pick up a bracelet or T-shirt with the “evil eye” they make great souvenirs.

Never mind the commercialism. Avoid the shop owners' over zealous invitations and walk on. I personally love the white-granite coloured footpath and enjoy looking into the shop windows for the creative display. One can find reasonably priced things (not tourist tat) by looking carefully. Enjoy...More

Some nice shops but mostly very expensive! Nice atmosphere but nothing to write home about. Walked it everyday as a short cut to my room but certainly didn't stop off in any of the shops which held little interest for me.

Even if you don't shop, you must see this beautiful part of Mykonos. You can walk through the streets (no cars) and just enjoy and appreciate the beautiful architecture.

Charming street with its white and blue painted buildings and white painted pathway. Plenty of shops, and restaurants/bars along the way. Mykonos old town is a bit of a maze so many particular streets can be difficult to find initially. In terms of shopping theres...More

Hundreds of little shops to stop in and buy goodies! Sjop around as some are a little more expensive than others for the same goodies.

Enjoyed wandering these streets, the shops are highly priced, some even more than London and Paris, but all the same a nice window shop is always good.

All shops should be open in April. Not sure about exact opening time, but I would assume it is 8 or 9 AM. Cant tell you what time "bars" open tho'. Most shops stay open late, but it depends on the cruise ships. If one is in... More

Although is the main street , it s not soo difficult to find your way on it without any maps. Being October will be even more easier as it will not be crowded at all. Enjoy your time there !

Yes, but...Streets are narrow, uneven, and steep in most places. Most are cobblestone surfaces, so make sure your stroller has some kind of shock absorbers and rubber tires. If so you should be OK
