Gioras was at the top of my list to visit when our cruise ship was in port. The history of the Bakery is amazing! Gioras is one of the last wood bakeries in the Cyclades dating back to the 15th century. It’s been run by...More

The Gioras Wood Bakery has been making hard bread for sailors since the 15th century and has been handed down through 9 generations. We can’t vouch for the bread (which last a year without Refridgeration and is hard enough to pound nails) but the macaroons...More

Stumbled upon this gem totally by accident. It was amazing. The interior is rustic, with a wood burning oven still used today. Has been in the same family for over 200 years. We ordered lattes, baklava and a croissant. The baklava just melted in your...More

Stopped for a snack one afternoon. Picked up baklava and almond cookies. Both were very nice. We took some photos of the old wood burning oven. Staff were polite and attentive. Nice place to rest for feet and have something sweet.

This place is not to be missed when in Mykonos. The food is so fresh and tasty and we recommend the frappe's to go with it. Hidden gem

It’s down some steps - sign and entrance weren't particularly obvious, so you can easily miss it – and you would find a hidden gem. It is a lovely family business with great breads, cookies and pastries. In the morning, you can watch Gioras baking...More
