Stung view of the cathedral. Climbed to the Lagos de Covadonga on my bicicle and it was very fogy all the way, lots of cows on the road, impresive views. The stretch with a 15% inclination was very tough to do because of the bus...More

GO EARLY (or late) to avoid the cars on this narrow twisty ride as the cars forget to give way to motorcyclists (vulnerable road users) Once up in the mountains it is an amazing feeling tranquil fresh and green (late September) and the water very...More

It was beautifully sunny when we set off up the twisty mountain road and the views were fabulous at the top. Not a lot of facilities open early at the top but there were nice restaurants/cafes at the beginning of the road. However the fog...More

We went there a bit late which appeared to be lucky, as we could see beautiful sunset. Views are stunning. Must see!

We travelled up from Covadonga to the twin lakes on 7th October 2017. Despite the weather bring glorious, it is now “low season” which meant cars could drive up to the lakes again. The guidebook we had mentioned nothing more than the lakes being 12KM...More

Fantastic scenery! In August and July you cannot drive to lakes you must take a bus from the car parks. Excellent tracks from hikers.

You drive up with lots of other people on the steep route. The lake itself is beautiful but as there are so many other people it does not really have the relaxed feel. Loved the cows on our way.
