We stayed in Dominicus (Bayahibe area) for a week in an Airbnb. In the Bayahibe area, there are more private beaches for resorts than there are for the public. The public beaches are sandwiched between private ones. This beach is small and the water is a little rough. If you are looking for calm tranquil clear water, this is not the place for you. The water was hazy and a little dirty with plants.

We took a taxi type van from the La Romana cruise terminal. 15$ total each person for a round trip ride to Playa Publica Dominicus. That is almost an hour ride, 25 minutes there to the beach and back for 15$. Make sure to tip these drivers, they work hard and they make sure the guests they deliver to the beach return on time. They are extremely nice and helpful. Our driver arrived to pick us up a bit earlier and he made sure all of us arrived back together. He even searched a bit for a couple that lost track of the time.
The beach at first looks a bit run down or in disarray. But the sand gets whiter closer to the clear water. Soft sand in the water almost no rocks. beautiful beach
I forgot the name of the eatery located at the beach, too many Presidente's (DR BEER). The wait staff was excellent. Cherlito made sure our beer bucket was filled with bottles and ice. Angelo was also excellent, he made sure our food order was prompt and hot. The fried chicken and seafood Alfredo was delicious.

Very nice swimming with only small waves and very clean water. You can see lots of fishes in the shallow water.

Gorgeous beach, very fine sand, clear waters, beautiful ocean view. Rent chairs and umbrellas from vendors, $20 for one each. Great place for family and friends. Great place for kids to swim and play. A little bit of a challenge to find, but, doable. Worth the effort!

Water is perfection. Locals are amazing. Not as touristy as Punta Cana beaches. If you love DR, be sure to check out this beach.

Can you buy a day pass to an all inclusive resort he Really? If so, what is the cost?

Most resorts you can buy. Depending on how many people are in your group, it may be cheaper getting a room. Two adults and two children, $70.00 x 2, plus $$35.00 x 2, children. $210.00 per day, you can probably stay the night. Most resorts are the same. Meaning the food, beach, lounge pool area. I have been to RIU and Memories Splash each of them 3 times each. Total of 6

Bonjour,

The Beach at Dreams la Romana has sun beds and brollies on the beach free of charge. We used them every day. If you take a walk down the beach and pass the hotel security you will have to pay. It's a lovely beach. There is a beach bar too and a fruit laden boat on the beach in the morning

If I get your question right then yes. Its a nice Long Beach with lots of places to do snorkeling. There are only a few Hotels directly at the beach though. And since my wife and I have seen pretty much all of them while we walked along the beach.... my advice would be the Viva Wyhndam Hotel. The food was always great and yes it was all inclusive. The Hotel is located at the probably best part of the beach. Hope I was helpful
