White sand and blue waters but also not properly developed. Couldn't find a shower to rinse off and the available chairs were to be hired by locals that picked up a fight who saw us first. They asked 500pesos for 2 chairs and an umbrella, all items had seen better days. Moreover, there are limited options for lunch. The beach... More

Nice beach overall. Powdery sand, friendly people, palm trees, etc. Nice scenic views including the sunset. However, there are A LOT of discarded boats and trash at the far end of the beach. Good place to find a cheaper excursion versus booking through a travel agency or hotel. We talked to some of the guys that set up shop on... More

Nice public beach among all the usual resort that always own and are present in the most beautiful part of the Dominican Coast . It's close to the Parque Nacional del Este and also for this reason it has the Blue Flag . There are few shops on the beach ( mercadillo ) and a bar restaurant . The beach... More

We arrived here somewhat by mistake. We both loved it instantly! This is where the excursions start to go to Samana island etc on snorkelling trips as well as diving and fishing charters. Beautiful mix of the locals and tourist industry but kept its charm. Not over develop, clean, authentic restaurants, good food and clean water!

Nice beach with soft white sand, chairs and umbrellas available for rent. There are a few shops on the beach where you can buy souvenirs,sunglasses,hats...bargaining is recommended.

This is a great public beach! There are a few rocks on the bottom of the ocean floor so its best to wear water shoes, but it really isn't too bad. There are a few economical restaurants on the beach with very friendly waiters. You can also negotiate a trip to Saona or Catalina from the beach area, much more... More

Try to get there early so you can have a parking spot and good spot to set up. An umbrella with two loungers was $15 USD. Beach was very clean, I didn't see any trash (which is rare in the DR outside the all-inclusives). Great for splashing around and swimming, but not for snorkeling. There are parasailing and small catamaran... More

If you are in the area but not staying in a resort hotel this is the place to go, there are chairs available for rent, and some places where you can buy food and drinks. It is a bit crowded on the weekends and holidays.
