We visited Saona Island with a catamaran. On our way to the island we stopped to see the star fish. They were huge and amazing. Saona is one of the most beautiful places on Earth!

I loved everything about it, we had such a great time, we cried in the room saying good-bye to the hotel. I wanted to stay with the dolfines, only i wasn'e alowed to. Great, Great, adventure.

We took a horseback ride with Rancho Bayahibe into the Park and got to climb down into a cave. There was an underground spring you could take a dip in. Very refreshing! It was very enjoyable day and one of the highlights of our trip.

Absolutely beautiful! It is so good to to see that the waters and nature is well protected from pollution and vandilism. Loved to learn about the cycle of nature, wonderful for all of us to experience it undisturbed.

We visited the national park as part of an excursion through our resort. Beaches were so pretty and the caves were awesome!

The fast boat was a fun experience. The natural pool where you stop before Saona is simply breathtaking. Saona island is a caribbean postcard. Something that you really need to do.

We drove from santo Domingo to Bayahibe, a 2 hours drive through surprisingly good roads. At Bayahibe we took a guided boat tour to the island saona. On the way we stopped at a natural pool in the middle of the ocean, an amazing experience. It's a large area of shallow crystal clear water in the middle of the ocean.... More

Its is an interesting walk, with some nice views but the main attraction are the highly diverse butterflies that you can watch on your way (specially with sunny weather). The path is rather easy and has some marks that help the orientation. The only concern are the mosquitoes which are abundant and annoying and if you stop for a seconds... More
