The visit to Air Force Center was very interesting and beautiful.
However the food-lunch in the restaurant was not at all delicious.

Very interesting place with a long history of the small swiss army airport. To recommend for families and if the weather is bad, because it's inside

Did not look large from the outside but inside, wow, a lot to see. Never knew the Swiss air force flew Messerschmidt 109s.
The place is neat. More than 1 hall. Aircraft, missiles, guns, communication and radar systems. Much more than just aircraft. Some of the signage in English would be nice, though.

Our boys love it. It’s a nice place to come on a rainy afternoon and check out a huge exhibition of huge variety of planes, military installations. Some of them kids can try, climb on or push the buttons :)

My grandson Tarun is passionate about aircraft and flying and like most youngster I myself was fascinated with flying machines and stories of second world war air battles i my youth and so it was a pleasure to take him and my granddaughter to this museum.

The museum has a great collection of interesting vintage air crafts and one could spend some time looking through them all. However the display of the exhibits was indoors and cramped and the lighting unfriendly for photographers. The information provided was also limited.

My grandson was particularly interested in the real time simulator mentioned in the website and had also registered from India some fifteen days prior to visiting the museum. However when we went and asked for the simulator experience the instructor was apologetic stating the minimum age for the simulator experience was 16 years while he was only 10 years old. That was a disappointment

Over all the experience of visiting this museum was very good and I recommenced it for every one interested in air crafts and aviation.

If you like airplanes and military this is highly recommended (more than the Transp.ort Museum in Lucerne) as it is really cramped with stuff. Great with kids, too

Although called the Air Force Center, and featuring mainly military aircraft, it is run by a foundation and receives no funds from the military. Nevertheless the aircraft are beautifully restored and presented. I went primarily to see the P-16 (one of only 2 remaining), and the unique N-20 Aiguillon, which alone were worth the trip, but the other exhibits were great too. The supporting materials, videos, engines, and even a Vampire (wooden) fuselage add real value. The reconstructed air defence control facilities are pretty impressive and well displayed. Halls 1 and 2 have a mezzanine offering good overhead views and excellent opportunities for photographs. There were only two staff visible on my visit, both friendly and helpful but with limited English skills. The captions in the museum are almost exclusively in German, but there is just one kiosk offering descriptions of each exhibit in four languages. The DVD of this material was also on sale in the small shop for CHF 5, about $5.

Amazing displays, historic and rare military artifacts. Great staff that inform you of other parts of the facility that are open limited time. This allowed us to view additional aircraft and air defense pieces.

What a super place. Shed loads of interesting displays. The aircraft were superb. Staff ok. A good place to spend a couple of hours browsing. Loads of parking available plus swiss airforce choppers taking off and landing all the time.5

Impressive display of the Swiss Air Force. You will find a prototype of the P-16, a Swiss fighter dished by Pilatus and was abandoned after 2 accident in Bodensee. The design of the wing was later bought by Gates, to create the Learjet. Many other interesting plane, all in the same ambiance as those big aviation museum.
