What an experience, i have done this walk twice now and will do it again as soon as we are able. Something new to see each time. Do not let the height worry you it feels perfectly safe.

It is difficult to describe the beauty of this place. Just visit and experience it for yourself! I will definitely repeat! It is basically a hiking route that goes on top of a river going across a mountain from one lake to another. The path is very safe. They have done a really nice construction work. Your wear a helmet all the time, just in case a rock falls, but I think it is very unlikely. They have staff along the path in case you have questions or have any issues. They also have a medical team in case of emergency. You have to book very in advance (2-3 months). It takes around 1-2 hours to do it, if you don't stop along the way. There are several areas along the ways for stopping and resting for a while. There is a shuttle bus that takes you back to the start of the route, in case you came by car and used the parking at the entrance. I recommend having lunch in one of the places nearby to try the local cuisine. I especially recommend El Mirador restaurant. I had lunch here and the food was delicious. I was born in Malaga and I can say that they serve real local food from the "Montes de Malaga".

How on earth the Caminito del Rey is not one of the seven natural wonders of the world I'll never know. This 2+ hour walk is simply breathtaking and with rock your world. The size and scale of the mind-blowing mountains and valley is awesome in the extreme. This used to be the most dangerous walk in the world, but sine 2015 they have heavily re-enforced all aspects of the walk and it is now merely exhilerating. I recommend booking an early morning walk in the summer as it gets very hot during the day. Also be warned, not many guides speak English

A great 5 km walk along a river , parts of the walk are on the mountain side and parts up the cliff on a walkway installed hundreds of meter high. The path was restored in 2015 and it is very well maintained, the explanation boards are well kept and informative. The walkway is narrow and people insist on taking hundreds of pictures so patience is required especially during this social distance period. There are hand rails throughout and hand sanitizer as well! The end of the walk is a bit long and uphill to catch the bus back to the beginning so this is only for fit people and no small children.

It is one of the best experiences I have ever done. The experience, walking along this old mining road is a very cool one, although it is very crowded and the day I visited it it rained lightly. It is well worth it. Price with guide included: € 19.50.
