You can see a beautiful sunrise in Pananjakan 1. You must prepare at 03.00 am to get there. Important thing is to rent a trusted Jeep before your trip. You can ask help from your accomodation to prepared. Fee for 4 location Pananjakan 1 (summit sunrise), kawah bromo (pura boten), pasir berbisik and savannah (teletubbies hill) is aproximately 600rb.

Mount Bromo was fabulous. It was a bit rough to get there as I stayed in Malang and took a private jeep to see the sunrise which involves not sleeping the whole night and being on a rough road but in the end when the sunrises you see the most beautiful scene ever. It is just breathtaking. Make sure you... More

Sunrise in Mount Bromo has been caught by million of tourists. Make sure you are wakeup in the morning (around 3am) to catch the sunrise over Mount Bromo. It takes about 1-2 hours hike to the sunrise point, depending on your fitness level

If you have a Full Day, this place is nice to visit. Get there for the Sun rise, see the Color changes of the mountain. After that you can get down and get near to the Mount. This is at East Java, if you are visiting East Java, you can consider this place. Two Full days will be Nice.

It is really worth visiting: wonderful sunrise with a view over the Bromo volcano and than a walk to the crater. It can be a little cold at night (you start climbing around 3 am) but then it is really nice. Must see!

We did Mount Bromo with the organized Tour with the driver and the guide. We slept in the hotel close to the Mount Bromo. Were waken up at 3am and jump into the jeep to go to the view Point Penanjakan. From here you can see the sunrise above the Bromo and higher Semeru. When we get to the parking... More

Had to endure a long drive in the dark to make it in time for sunrise at the viewpoint overlooking Mount Bromo. Bring gloves and thick clothing because the temperature up there can be quite chilly (and windy). Hike wasn't that tough; alternatively you can ride a horse to get to the view point. Well-worth it!

I stayed there 2 days and 3 nights. the Sunrise in this place is very very beautiful with many fog, rays. if you are photographer, you will have many nice and great shot here. but, i think, the view point 2 in the lower is better than view point 1. the view side of... This was very memorable trip. Though the travel is typically chaotic - jeeps and motorcycles battling for limited road space - the sights, smells and tastes are not to be missed. Sadly for us, the clouds covered the sunrise. It would be worth checking weather reports before setting off. If it's too cloudy, delay your trip by a few hours.

Had an amazing time at Mt. Bromo would say it is a must see when in Java. We stayed in Cemoro Lewang at the base of Bromo which is a great location for starting your adventure of the area. If you have time I would recommend avoiding the jeep tours and walking up to the viewpoints and mount bromo instead.... More
