The Macao Museum merits an hour or so of tourists time.... it is not big but well explains the history of Macau, its people and its culture. You will get a glimpse of the old Macau, the old Macau unspoilt by casinos and high end...More

It's nice to visit Macau and be reminded it's a historic city with a colonial past, not just a gambling town and SAR. Macau has a special place in my heart. I used to visit my grandparents during the summer holidays and this museum reminds...More

This is a good, smallish museum which explains the history of Macau, it's people and cultures. The street of Macau houses was particularly interesting.

Very well put together museum. Next to the Fort. Nice big exhibits. You learn a lot about Macao history and culture after the visit. We were there on a Tuesday and it was free. Definitely worth a visit!

This museum was worth the visiting, especially looking at the dioramas depicting early history, and life in a Chinese and then Portuguese ruled Orient. The artefacts, and displays required more time than we had, unfortunately it was only a day visit.
