A picturesque and emblematic avenue in Macau, which in the past separated the Portuguese city from the Chinese bazaar. Nowadays there is too many people and too much traffic, but it still has a very special charm from the past.

The pleasant strolls we had in Macau were wonderful. This street or avenida had much more of a cramped feel. We thought it was ok though because you need some excitement and besides we live in Beijing so it wasn’t that bad relatively speaking. There...More

I thought this was the main road of Macau. Everything was just here. It was like city centre (local food, pharmacy, shops). Unfortunately, it was always crowded at bus stops especially in the morning and rush hour. Since there was tiny space so it was...More

This avenue divides the older part of Macau with the newer part. The area around the street are beautiful. It makes you feel like you are not in China.

This avenue runs from the Sofitel to the Senado Square (Senate Square) in the heart of the city. It takes about ten minutes to walk. Nothing really special except that it gives you a good feeling of Macau life. There are shops under the arcades....More
