A white elephant project gone wrong from the pre-Financial crisis period of 2007-2008, Fisherman's Wharf (FW) never lived up to its billing as Macau grew and developed elsewhere, mostly around the Cotai Strip on other areas of the city. In the past couple of years, a Redevelopment Plan has begun in effort to tear down some of the development mistakes... More

a place that might not everybody know and aware. But, the place that makes me feel interested in the beauty of its architecture. The architecture is similar to the Colosseum in Rome. Macau Fisherman's Wharf are not far from Outter Harbour Ferry. Quite walk about 5-10 minutes. Unfortunately, most of part is still under construction.

Nice place to spend time in leisure. Buildings in this small waterside are in old Portuguese style. There are number of restaurants offering multiple cuisines dot this area. Best time to visit is dusk time as one can enjoy kerbside drinking with snacks. There are few Tourist shops offering souvenirs. A small casino is located close by in a Portuguese... More

It seems brand new with expensive shops and empty restaurants. There were only a few people walking around ... Only good thing: you can take nice photos of the Pier from there. Otherwise, there is nothing to do or to see there, it's not worth losing time going there.

Beautiful Ruins for photo taking, especially the coliseum. The tour driver told us that all those buildings are artificially built, there are not historical remains

Most of the part of Macau Fisherman’s wharf is under renovation and those which are open are worth to see it. Good things which I can count – the view of the Roman style Colosseum, the Babylon Casino, the view of the ferries and bridges from the promenade. Please avoid visiting this place if you have high expectations and moreover... More

The last time I went to Fisherman's Wharf is in the New Year, the usual Fisherman's Wharf did not a lot of people, but the New Year is very lively, crowded, the atmosphere is very good. And I like the Fisherman's Wharf architectural design, you can see the combination of Chinese and foreign culture. There are Chinese ancient buildings, there... More

Although you can snap some nice photos of monuments like the Roman amphitheatre, there's really little point in coming here until the place is built. Cranes and construction workers everywhere, this place is far from finished. It may be great in some years, but what you'll find at the moment are some unfinished monuments, an unfinished shopping centre, unfinished hotels... More
