I love the Colina da Penha, a place full of Western architectural style, and there have a church and a small park in the neighborhood of a church, if you are familiar with Colina da Penha, you will find behind the mountain there is a Virgin statue to pray. where I go there when I feel stressed and sad, and... Missed Sunday mass, but decided to walk up from the A-Ma Gao temple and attended the midday payer by the nuns vowed to silence - except to pray and sing. Very spiritual and calming.

The church is nice and it's located at the top of a small hill which have a nice view of Macau. I personally like the Holy Mary statue in the small cave under the staircases.

It's way atop the hill so only the physically fit should bother making the trek up the hill to the church. The church itself is nice and simple. The view of the city and the sea is the bonus. Better to take a cab to the church and then walk down towards the rest of the heritage sites. If the... More

This is a must visit place if you don't mind steeping the hill nearly twenty five minutes. I walked from A-Ma Temple and found it was quite far. That did not change my mind. Up there, the church itself was truly exquisite. I enjoyed the magnificent view of Macau. (Macau Tower, great river view, Grand Lisboa.) On the day I... More

Firstly make sure you catch a taxi to this location, taxis are no expensive and this church is on a steep hill. The view from the top was very good as well as seeing many weather houses. We were lucky when we were there as the nuns came out and sang, said some prayers all in English. The church inside... More

This church is amazing, although location slightly far from town and is little bit hard to reach via public transport. But the journey there is worth for the money I paid for. This place is peacefully without crow. Tourist rarely visit also because of the distance. This place does have a very good view of Macau city.

The church itself isn't extremely interesting other than the fact that it is a working Catholic church in the middle of Asia that is a few hundred years old. And in all truth, the church was not built to be a tourist attraction. It is definitely interesting though and you can see Portuguese architecture and a great view overlooking Macau.... More
