You see the mangroves on the flamingos tours. They are really cool! There is also a cenotes to jump into, so you may want to take your bathing suit and a snack.

This tour is done by human powered boating. Jose and his brother Efrain pole the boat thru about 1.5 to 2 km of mangrove pointing out nesting birds and massive termite mounds. Then you get the estuary and the flamingos. These guys know their stuff....More

We booked at the hotel the day before. The guide working at the hotel drove us there and arranged everything with the guys on site (boat....). I guess it was a bit more expensive than if we would have arranged it in advance... More
