When you've climbed up to the centre of the old town in Altea do take the opportunity to have a shufty at and from the 'mirador' viewing area. There are some fantastic views of the sea and over to the sierra heladas - mountain range - from Albir to Benidorm. And there are some nice views of the Benidorm high... More

Nice spot for a grand view of the ocean and Altea. Stop by for a quick look. Good spot for a nice family picture. There was also a guy there playing some Spanish music on a guitar.

I've been up there perhaps 50 times, climbing the stairs for exercise. The reward for the effort is really good: The profile of the skyscrapers in Benidorm, the beautiful bay of Albir, the light-house cliff and the towering mountain. This is a place to revisit time after time- and still find something new to view.

For all photography buffs, this is the place in Altea to get some good shots from. And even with a camera phone, some decent memories can be captured. The skyscrapers of Benidorm appear like giant insects on the skyline in the distance.

Mirador is a one of the attraction at the Plaza de la Iglesia, a lovely square with the church at the other end and cafes and restaurants all around. If you are in photography, be there before sundown and stay into the night, you will not regret it.

we've been here often and just love the view looking over the town onto Benidorm, nearer is the town of Albir, which is lovely wee walk along the promenade past the Marina, the other view from here is of The Church of the Virgin del Consuelo Altea, which is a beautiful old church

The view was very nice and there were a lot of nice shops in the neighbourhood. We also liked the church and the restaurants. You can park your car outside the centre of Altea and walk to the Mirador.
