I went out on 17th August with Láki tours, and had a great time. Lots of close up views of Humpbacks just hanging out, or diving and a big pod of graceful pilot whales. The tour guide, Judith, is really enthusiastic & knowledgeable about all...More

I’m almost reluctant to review the tour because one of its best features was the fact that Laki Tours is currently the only whale watching operator out of Hólmavík. But since I am, I highly recommend it! We were fortunate to have amazing weather and...More

We had a great time on this tour. They were very helpful in the beginning, getting us all oriented. We saw a few minke whales early on, but the amazing part was later, when we got to see a whole pod of pilot whales. It...More

Best afternoon ever! our whale watching tour in Holmavik was spectacular: we saw humpback whales, pilot whales, and dolphins interacting together! The crew was clearly passionate and knowledgeable, we also learnt a lot about whale biology and behaviour. Strongly recommended!

We were on an evening puffin tour on one of the few beautiful days in July and it was great. Not because we saw so many puffins close-by - in fact it was quite difficult to get good shots as there were only single individuals...More

There were about 30 people on my tour. You're given overalls which will keep you dry, these are big enough to go over whatever you are wearing. I would suggest wearing what you'd normally wear walking around and then put... More

I rented a car. It is quite a long distance to take a cab or Uber. Trains they don’t have in Iceland and buses I don’t know.
