We recently booked a wine tour and tasting at the nearby Castello di Nipozzano, and travelled by train to Pontassieve station from Florence. However when we arrived we were told there were no busses or taxis in the area that would be able to take us to Nipozzano so there was literally no way of reaching it without walking over... More

We visited this lovely venue in the hills of Florence. We took the train to Pontessieve & then the venue had organised a driver to collect us as the property was 7km away & no other way to get there. This was the only down side this tour as driver cost 50euro return. We were a small group of 4... More

A beautiful area with wonderful local food & wine. Excellent service along with a spectacular sunset. Dining in the terrace was lovely. The chianti beef was a favorite. The pastas are made with local grains. Charcuterie tray was delicious & if you like chicken pate, don't miss out!!

We recently stopped at Fattoria Lavacchio for an olive oil tasting experience and tour during our drive through the Tuscan countryside. It was a very nice experience for our kids and also my wife and I. Tatsu gave wonderful explanations of olive types and harvesting, and we were able to see some of their olive trees. Then we were able... More

We were staying at the agriturismo for 5 nights and ate here three times, twice for dinner and once for lunch. It is beautiful, lovely setting with great authentic Italian food. I had the grilled meats, pizza and pasta over those meals and everything was great. It is a really special place.

This review will be short....Do not miss an opportunity to dine here! All the food originates on the organic farm where the restaurant is located. Everything on the menu is terrific! The pasta, pizza, fish, beef are prepared with love and attention to detail. We loved the truffle and cheese pizza....very gourmet! Desserts are typically Tuscan and the organic wines... More

Make sure you include this restaurant to your Tuscan experience. It would be a shame for you to miss out. Easily some of the best food we have ever experienced. Go just before sundown and enjoy a glass of wine as the sun sets over the Tuscan hills. I am an accomplished cook myself and quite a foodie and I... More

We ate at this restaurant three nights during our four-day stay at Fattoria Lavacchio. We also took a cooking class which was a lot of fun. The service is very good, and most of the vegetables, eggs, and herbs are grown or raised on the grounds, and the wine and olive oil is also made by the Fattoria. Portions are... More

The food was pure Tuscany. Fresh everyday from pasta to veggies. If you love to eat, this is the place.
