The cathedral is really amazing. How this beautiful building came to be on an island is the middle of Malawi in the middle of Africa is incredible. If you go to Likoma, do not miss St. Peter's.

Hard to believe this cathedral sits on this tiny island in the middle of Lake Malawi. The church was built in 1903 and is really beautiful.

The second largest cathedral in Africa yet set in this little island in Lake Malawi. Well worth visiting whatever your beliefs.

The only special thing here, is a cathedral at this place. So not the cathedral in itself, but the fact that white people built a thing like this at this place, on this tiny island. Get real!

Beautiful cathedral built in the early 1900's - totally unexpected. It is quite grand with beautiful stained glass windows.

Saint Peter's is like a piece of England on the middle of a tropical island, surrounded by palm trees!

A lovely distraction on Likoma Island, SPC is rather out of place. We enjoyed a short guided tour (voluntary contribution) and wandered around the grounds for half an hour. One of the few genuinely worthwhile cultural-historical attractions in Malawi.
