Very heavy security. This place was great and depressing at the same time given the current situation. But the Mosque is very nice and tombs are very well preserved.

This site is in an ancient city called Halhoul. It is on a main road but be careful of local beggars. This is a place that the Prophet Yunus AS was known to have spent a significant period of time and this mosque and maqam is to commemorate that. He is known as Jonah in biblical terms and the two stories do have parallels. The embroidered cloth covering has the prayer he made written onto it.

This mosque is worth visiting, especially if you are travelling from Jerusalem to Hebron to see Ibrahim AS
