Thousands of years ago, learners from different part of the world used to come at Mainamati and taught by some great philosophers. One should take ready his camera to frame the old establishment base and to clip the nature. A 2 to 3 hour plan is good to be familiar with this great establishment.

Mainamati is located almost 8 miles from the town of Comilla,Bangladesh. It is the home of one of the most important Buddhist archaeological sites in the region. t is only 114 km. from Dhaka city and is just a day's trip by road on way to Chittagong.

As foreigners we stood out and were constantly asked to pose for photographs (under a very hot sun with no shade in sight). The Buddhist ruins date back to the 8th century and are certainly worth... One of the remnants of Buddhists civilization in our country and one of the place to visit. Nothing attractive at that place but should study about the place before going and then you may corelate.
