This was the first plane viewing area I had visited and it was an exciting spot. I enjoy plane spotting and this was a nice open area, though the planes that land on the diagonal runway are hard to view from the viewing platform but with binoculars it would be better. When we went there were roadworks in the area... More

It is a good area for people to see planes and the kids love it. There is a shelter which gave shade. If you are really interested in seeing the planes it is too remote from the terminals.

Another great trip out with the kids. if you can time it for when you are expecting visitors to fly in even better. great to while away an hour or so even if you're not a nerdy plane spotter. The airport has done a great job with this.

The Perth Airport viewing platform is great for viewing planes taxiing and landing from the south. The closest taxiway is only around 90m away from the viewing deck, making it feel like you are right next to the plane! When planes are landing from the north, they turn off at a taxiway, around 500m away, making it difficult to properly... More

A fair walk for the elderly or disabled . Great views but limited protections from the elements . No night time viewing . Perfect views for the North South runway but few for the East west runway . Fun for the kids when busy . No toilet or water outlets .

We visited this spot while waiting for our sons plane to arrive which was 45mins late. So close to all the action. You can watch the plain arrive and stay a bit longer then cruise on around to the terminal and no parking fees!!!!. Lots of people there all enjoying the experience. Plane watchers and children just getting excited at... More

I went there to view the Antinov when it arrived in Perth. I found it very hard to find, took me a few times on the round-about because it is NOT well sign posted. The stand is quite small and as well.

This can only be reached by car, but honestly you could take a snack and a coffee and just feel a sense of adventure and awe as the planes take off and land often right in front of you. This place is a real gem. Free parking on site, away from the airport buildings. The first time a plane landed... More

A great place to stop and see aircraft taking off and landing. Depending on which way the wind is blowing you can have a very close encounter! Children love it. Any easy walk up even with a pram or in a wheel chair.
