Beautiful Beach

Another beautiful beach which was not busy with lots of golden sand to enjoy. Once again lovely clean sand and ample room to enjoy.

The hike to Praia Vermelha already is beautiful but the beach is very stunning too. We've been there almost alone and it felt paradisiacal. Good for surfing too.

Vermelha Beach is only accessible by trails from Praia do Rosa or Ouvidor Beach. It is about 300 yards long, in an isolated cove and beautiful. Because it is so isolated, there are no vendors or other services, so bring everything you need.

We visited this beach through a beautiful trail from Praia do Rosa. It is small and I was told it is private! Good waves reach a short sand beach good for surf.

We went there twice during our stay in Rosa - we even had the privilege of seeing dolphins. Such a beautiful place, it was worth the 1,5 hours walk from our guest house. There are no bars nor any infrastructure, so make sure you take water/food with you and that you take your litter back with you!!!

It's a private beach in a private estate, but you can get there by foot from Ouvidor Beach. It's a little track, about 20 - 25 min, well signed.

If you enjoy hiking, the walk from Ouvidor Beach to Vermelha Beach is simply gorgeous! Not a bad idea to walk in sturdy shoes as the path does climb a bit, although we managed in sandals. Views are outstanding up and down the coast. Feels like Switzerland by the sea. Bring your camera. You can continue walking from Vermelha to... More

Accessible only by a walking trail, coming from Praia da Rosa. It's a median effort trail (don't forget sandals, bottle of water and sun blocker) but it's worthy. Bring some food if you intend to spend more hours. It's smaller and less windy than Praia do Rosa.
