This is a restaurant review only as we came as visitors to have lunch and do some wine tasting. We did not stay at Dievole but the complex looked amazing with a great pool, beautiful well manicured gardens and great views over the vineyards and surrounding countryside. Once you get off the sealed road at Vagliagli you journey on a dirt/gravel road for about a kilometre before arriving at the large parking area. The tasting room is a short walk away whilst the restaurant is at the very back of the complex. We were greeted warmly and there was no issue with us lunching there as visitors as I gather it is normally used for the in-house guests. There is an inside as well as an outside terrace dining area. We chose to eat outside as it was a glorious day and the view of the gardens was quite wonderful. The menu was not extensive but quite sufficient with choices from four antipasto dishes (EUR 15-00 to EUR 18-00), three primi (two pasta and one soup which were all EUR 15-00), three mains (EUR 20-00 to EUR 23-00) and a choice of three different pizzas (all EUR 15-00). As entrees we had the Buffalo mozzarella with seasonal vegetables and the Chianti pork meat with vegetables. For mains we had the Sliced beef tagliata and seasonal vegetables and the sea bream fillets with vegetables. All four dishes were beautifully presented and very tasty. Wine list was restricted to wines from the various Dievole wineries. This wasn't an issue as the wines we tasted were all pretty good. Unfortunately, and surprisingly since we were dining at their winery, they whacked a premium onto the wines that was quite a deal higher than that charged for the same bottle at the tasting room. Notwithstanding this the bottle of Riserva only cost EUR 40-00. The service was very good. Friendly and efficient. Afterwards we went for a quick walk around the grounds and saw the small church. It is obvious that they host a lot of weddings here and unfortunately we got caught out one day when we returned to have another meal only to find that they were setting up for a wedding and the restaurant was closed. Suggest phoning ahead to see if they are open as Vagliagli is a decent drive out into the countryside from any of the main towns. We were driving from Siena. Recommended.

A perfect experience. The grounds were amazing and meticulously kept. A panorama everywhere you looked. Enjoyed their wines each night (and sometimes during the day). Centrally located for day touring. Amazing staff.

Stopped at Dievole for a brief 2-night stay while working our way towards Venice from Rome. Our biggest regret: not staying here for a full week!!!!! I wish I could rate this place 10 stars. The GPS led us astray while driving here from Florence and we were beginning to question what kind of place this was (note: there are 2 entrances here... one is literally a road filled with huge rocks that is straight uphill.... the other more scenic and drivable). Once we pulled up and started seeing the property, we knew this was a hidden gem. Our room was amazing. Huge, smelled/looked brand new, overlooked the mountains and pool. We simply just went downstairs to grab a drink at the bar or access the restaurant. There was a quaint little grassy area with cushioned chairs/couches to grab a glass of wine and watch the sun set over the mountains and on our last night, my husband and I stayed out there for the longest time. It was too hard to leave! The restaurant on site was AMAZING!! Everything we ordered was perfection and some of the best food we had on our trip. Then there’s the wine. Let’s just say we ended up buying 2 bottles before we left!! We had a free wine tasting/tour included with our stay and it was lovely. Really I cannot say better things about this resort as it exceeded all expectations (and my husband and I are very picky with our hotels!). The staff was extremely accommodating and the ambiance and atmosphere was nothing short of ‘luxury meets Tuscan tranquility’. My husband and I are already planning our next trip to Italy and Dievole is on the top of our list (for more than 2 nights this time)! Also has 3 beautiful nature trails so bring your athletic shoes as you won’t want to miss walking/running through olive groves and Vinyards!!!! Can’t wait to come back!!

Stumbled upon this location while lost in the hills trying to find our B&B. They were very helpful with directions however I took a wrong turn and managed to get my car suspended in the air on only 3 wheels...don't ask and the manager helped us get back on the ground and rolling to our destination on the other side of the hill. Our destination was not suitable for my mother who uses a walker (many stairs) so we ended up back at Dievole where staff bend over backwards to find us an affordable last minute beautiful room where we had an amazing Tuscan BBQ and some very fine wines. Strange how things work out as I never would have know this place existed except by getting lost.
