We were interested to see the 17th Century frescoes of this Chigi Palace. It's next to the church on the Piazza Chigi, and it doubles as the administration building for the entire Commune. Admission is free, but there's no one to confirm it's really the Palazzo Chigi, so you just need to climb the massive staircase to the 'first floor'... More

From what we understand, the Palazzo can normally be visited or better seen, but there was an event on that day, so our experience was quit limited to the outside and inner foyer. all tourist information etc now in Palazzo Chigi and done beautifully in traditional style some would think nicer on the inside than out and next to the main Church. Festival of Barbarossa took place in the Piazza outside
