the first thing to say is that the link through tripadvisor is wrong! this is the new website and you can book the pasta course by emailing Matteo at the address below. His english is very good so don't worry if your Italian is not! http://www.cucina-popolare.com/ matteo.infoofficina@gmail.com we had the BEST fun doing this - I never thought I'd be able to make real fresh pasta but turns out both my boyfriend and I can make normal pasta, traditional tuscan Pici (like thick hand-rolled spaghetti) and gnocchi! After making the dough, kneading it, cutting it, shaping it and rolling it, Matteo cooked it for us and I'm ashamed to say we ate ALL of it! Gnocchi with a cheese and sage butter sauce, pici with a minced pork and fennel flowers sauce (to die for!) and tagtiatelli with salty breadcrumbs and olive oil. Plus a lovely bottle of white. All included in the price of the course (€50 per person when we booked). Colle val d'elsa is worth a trip as well so we combined this course with a post-lunch wander about town.…
