Depending on when you visit Bagni SP the experience may differ. We visited the spot late October (low season) and came there in the morning hours (around 10 am) on a weekday to avoid any crowds. It was a very special experience indeed. We enjoyed one of the mini pools which had very nice warm water. Didn't even need to share it with anyone else - people kind of pick their own mini pools and stick to that. It definitely feels like one of the places to visit during colder months like in autumn or spring as it wouldn't feel as nice if outside temperature is hot and water is warm/hot. If you are planning on visiting, I'd advice that you wear some trekking shoes which you are not afraid to get dirty - the road to the pools can be quite muddy and wet (it's a bit less so if you try to stick to high grounds as much as possible whilst walking to the pools). You'd also need slippers for bathing as you can't see what's beneath the water surface at all. For a towel - preferably use one not from hotel as the smell might stay on that one. On the note of smelliness, the pools smelled a little of the sulphur but it didn't distract from the experience overall. Also, water was surprisingly clean considering it's a public space - just the leaves, no plastic. Last note is that you should try to use toilets before you arrive, the ones available at the top of the path are not very well maintained (though available if it's urgent so there's that).

Looks amazing on the images etc but in reality it was a trek out to some dirty stream with smelly water and overcrowded. With so many other amazing places to go in Tuscany discount this one as a waste of time.

Read many yuk reviews, between toilets and changing rooms none of those facilities are available… we thought about that too, but we wanted to enjoy these rare formations and not available everywhere, so we looked to bathe where the water gushes from the pipe by the rock to lay on or the little pools where can share for 5 people or less with own water flush… Parking close to here are all pay parking but there are a few free parking spots after the curve of the park (end of the village). This attraction is nice to see and not for the fussy. P.S. The tips as per title are: 1. come in low season. 2. get there before 8:00 a.m. enjoy and leave when crowds are coming or after 6 p.m. when crowds leaved. 3. Bring trekking shoes (to walk downhill from street and returning uphill) and water shoes (don’t risk to hurt and slip) maybe walking sticks, apart of the towels etc. 4. Don’t climb up the rock (don’t ruin your holidays!) 5. Stay in a bed&breakfast or rent a place in the village, this is what we did.

Overcrowded. Very loud people. Dogs in the pools. The place is dirty. People do not deserve a place that can be a slice of paradise for free. They just don’t appreciate. A small fee should be charged in order to keep the place civil and clean for everyone. So disappointing!

The Fosso Bianco is a really rare rock formation, the white rock at the bottom of the site is an awesome sight, and on the way down, seeing all of the little pools formed by the natural springs is very enchanting. Being from Canada, we are used to seeing large rock formations and we have experienced natural hot springs, however, this was unlike any rock formation I had ever seen. I was under the impression from our host near Sovicille that this area was a swimming area, however, the water does not get very deep, and in many places is warm. I think it would be a neat place to take a dip in the low season, when the crowds are small and the water is warm. Overall, I would recommend to see the Fosso if you are in the area, but do not go too far out of your way to see it.
