Before going you need to know this is not a leasurely stroll to a big beach, it’s a long trek up a big hill and it’s a tiny beach at the side of a lake, the lake is always clean my dogs love it, I...More

If you’re expecting a beach with facilities, then you’re going to be disappointed. There’s none there. It’s a long walk from town, although there is a local bus service up there. Don’t go by car as there is next to no parking, other than by...More

I live nearby and sometimes walk my dog on the moors. There’s no road within a 35 minute walk to it (all over steep moorland), no parking, no facilities there and the beach is less than 30 metres long. ( which you will be sharing...More

It sounds nice in theory but the reality is no where to park and once you start climbing up the unmade foot path for 40 minutes I thought I was going to have a coronary. At the top all there is is a bleak featureless...More

Parking on the road below the dam blocked many locals from getting through. Very long and steep walk to a tiny patch of beach covered in litter.

Space for 2 cars unless you park in the pub carpark. It’s a long trek over uneven, boggy ground. Arrived at the reservoir to a litter strewn “beach” (postage stamp size). Plenty of other places to go that are much more accessible. Drive a little...More

This is a wonderful beauty spot to end a country walk. It is NOT a beach! There is a tiny patch of sand. There are no facilities and the water is in my experience very cold. There is very limited parking and access is via...More

There aren't any camp sites around. The fields you have to travel through to get to gaddings dam belong to farmers and most have animals in.
