Unique place with unique setup. If you are not a religious person you won't find any deeper meaning of this place. The free parking spot is located next to the chapel which is located 100 meters from the hill.

This is an unique site, even if you aren't a faithful person, you can't be indifferent looking at these crosses (many, many, many). If you are doing a journey in Lithuania, you have to see it!

Not sure about hill of crosses. Depends if you are religious or not. It is certainly unique, but I am afraid it didn't move me.

The aspect that struck me the most regarding this iconic (literally) site, was the huge numbers of visitors from all corners of the world, all making this "mini-pilgrimage" to view or add their contribution to the thousands of crucifixes covering the entire surface of the...More

A coach after a coach, so if you go there to simply see it - fine. I would not count on a deep spiritual experience if I were you - if such sites are your kind of thing and you happen to travel through eastern...More

Sorry, can't help you here; we travelled with our own car when in Lithuania. I can say public transport is extensive and prices are very affordable.

Andreas: There's no direct lighting, only tower lamps at the visitor center. There is, however, a paved/wooden path through the middle, but no handrails. Be careful even in the day. Someone bumped against me and neuropathy... More
