The building is very beautiful, great views to the shore but there is little content. Price was 65 nok. You can go to the kafe to see the views and do not need to go to exposition.

We stopped by the museum on an impulse. It was a pleasure. Skilled and service minded personnel, a beautiful building by Snøhetta, a good and easy to catch exhibition. Absolutely recommendable

The modern arcitecture of the museum is worth the visit. The staff was friendly and very helpful. And we got a more in depth knowledge of Petter Dass. We also recomend a visit to the nearby Alstadhaug church.

This is the place where the famous priest Petter Dass (1647-1707) lived. There is a festival in his honor June every other year, next one 2018. Literature, music, art.

Petter Dass Museum I travelled there in early October on a Hurtigruten optional tour so unfortunately time was limited. If passing on your way heading north or south along the coast make sure to stop here. Scenic surroundings, modern and old architecture, interesting history.
