The experience met all of our expectations. The wait on the beach was a bit over rated, there were a lot of people and it was uncomfortable as we got there pretty early. Luckily afterwards we saw a lot of penguins walking back.

Arrived early as it's get pretty crowded. Be there before 7pm. Lots of info on the penguins. A short video on big screen is recommended to watch. A nice retail shop and eatery. Penguins arrival time displayed. Overall a really nice experience watching them arrive...More

We arrived at approximately 7.30pm and enjoyed a picnic in the dedicated area before heading to the beachfront seating area at 8pm. It is worth getting there early so you get a space on the beach or seats at the side of the seating areas...More

Great night (had to wait till approx 9pm for penguins to arrive) but great atmosphere and exceptionally well conducted by the rangers etc! Gets a bit cramped with the amount of people that attend (this was peak season and a booked out night) but still...More

Great place to visit..very busy....saw a couple of penguins...but penguin parade booked out...book well in advance at busy time of year. Check out Antarctica experience..great information if you spend the time to read.

That is the only place I know on the island hence the popularity. Penguins do come in to nest right next to St Kilda pier area (Melbourne beachside suburb)which is the only other option I know of if you are going to be in... More

If you have a car you can drive there and get the tickets for the parade. Pay a bit more for a better viewing. Check out the website. But if you don't intend to drive, they have tours that bring you there and back to... More
