If you are in Shangri-La then a visit to this monastery is a must. The monastery itself is beautiful but you also can enjoy some great views of the surrounding area when you climb to the very top. A great way to experience Tibetan buddhism.

This is a great historical monastery, mainly about Tibetan Buddhism. We got a tour of the temple, surrounding homes and rooms, and also got to sample some of their food.
