- claudio dViterbo, Italy44,748 contributionsAmong the best beaches in ChiaWonderful and long beach (the penultimate of the beaches of Chia that you meet coming from Pula; the series of beaches is closed in fact by the nearby Cala Cipolla) of fine light / golden sand, very clean, overlooking a shallow, green and transparent sea. Actually this long beach takes three different names depending on the sector: the easternmost is Porto Campana (you can still see the remains of the wooden wharf), the central one is Su Giudeu (right in front of the homonymous islet, reachable on foot when there is low tide), and finally the westernmost is Acqua Durci. It is practically impossible to define precisely the boundaries of the three beaches that share the same and unique beach, closed to the west by the promontory that separates it from Cala Cipolla and to the east by the low rocky peninsula, easily crossed on foot, that separates it from the beach of Campana Dune. When evaluating Su Giudeu beach, the assessment necessarily extends to the entire beach, of which I most appreciated the eastern and central part. Starting from the east, from the aforementioned rocky peninsula (must visit, for the two small coves that hides, for the characteristic rock formations and for the view of the beaches that separates), the initially shallow beach with beautiful dunes covered by juniper trees behind it, then widens a lot at the back of the pond of Su Sali, where there are obviously flamingos (often the beach is confused with the bed of the pond, when this retreats in the warmer and drier season), then narrows in front of the islet of Su Giudeu, where behind the dunes reappear, finally widens again towards the western end. There are several kiosks / bars that offer the service of umbrellas and sun loungers, but given the length of the beach (almost a kilometer and a half) of free beach there is so much. Very interesting nature and wide availability of parking spaces behind the beach (unfortunately all paid in high season). Personally it is among the beaches that I enjoyed the most among all those on the coast of Chia.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 4 July 2024
- luca cPisa, Italy133 contributionsTrip from relativesBeautiful Su Giudeu beach, crystal clear water, well equipped with kiosks and bathrooms, spotless, immaculate sand. Negative note the municipal parking that if you are alone in the morning you have to pay all day (9 €!). I'd put in a few showers and baths for no fee, if you run off to the totem pole before you get your ticket you'll wet yourself.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 8 July 2024
- SpoghMontbazon, France2 contributionsBeautiful beachBeautiful place!! We had a great family day, our daughters played all day in the water. Clean beach, very clear water 🥰 perfect height for our 2 year old daughter. Little flat, no garbage around the beach. The beach bar with affordable prices.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 2 August 2024
- Francesco D6 contributionsIf you don't catch the wind, heavenToo bad about the wind, very rough sea, but cmq the water kept its clarity. Golden sand. If we had caught a poorly ventilated day I'm sure it would have been paradise. Very wide beach, both free and beaches with services. Parking near about 7 euros on average throughout the dayVisited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 13 August 2024
- Cora TConselice, Italy547 contributionsBack childrenWe came to Su Giudeu with the aim of also seeing the nearby Cala Cipolla. So, we passed all the parking lots and reached the last one, the one further west. We were first in Su Giudeu where we found the right amount of wind and the slightly rough sea and enjoyed diving into the waves like children. Despite the rough water, the sea is spectacular. After we walked to Cala Cipolla, it takes 5 Min from the aforementioned parking lot. I don't know if it was the day, but I expected it more beautiful: still air, flat and murky sea on the shore. On Giudeu vote 10. Cala onion did not convince us, in fact we went back after a short time.Visited August 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 14 August 2024
- Pascaline15 contributionsBeautiful beach but lots of peopleParking at 6 euros before the beach Small step before arriving directly at the beach on a wooden pontoon on the beach Large beach quite popular with crystal clear water Slightly cool water may be due to wind on that day Possibility to reach a small island directly opposite We walk long enoughVisited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 20 August 2024
- Michela B8 contributionsWonderful. The most beautiful we have visited. Too bad about the wind but it was our last day and we absolutely wanted to go there. Fine white sand crystal clear sea with all shades of blue. Shallow water ideal for children. Recommended masks and snorkels to see the seabed and fish. You can walk to the rock in front and if you want you can also climb. Parking from 4 to 8 euros depending on the distance. Possibility to rent umbrella with deck chairs at the establishments. Kiosk with normal prices for the place. Bathrooms near the parking lot. I haven't found any garbage cans. Maybe I haven't seen them or they're not there at all. Top!!Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 22 August 2024

Beautiful and immense free beach where you can also find a couple of establishments with umbrellas and sunbeds. Being really big there is no problem of "sold out".
Here and there there are some kiosks, we had lunch in the "white" one and had a great time.
Parking costs €5 but it is only one of many and it takes about 10 minutes to reach the beach.
Crystal clear water, it feels really good.

Considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Italy, it presents a breathtaking landscape with its fine white sand dunes and its shallow waters.
In front of the beach there is an islet about 18 meters high that can be easily reached on foot when it is low tide. Behind the beach there is a small lagoon where it is possible to spot pink flamingos.
The beach is full of services and is an almost obligatory destination for those who come on holiday in Sardinia.
The price of parking is 7 euros per day, cheaper parking near the final part of the beach.

Extensive beach, fine sand, crystal clear water. The beach club was pleasant, not too crowded, the prices were moderate compared to local standards. Definitely one of the most beautiful beaches in southern Sardinia.

A disappointment!
Paid parking to find a beach full of seaweed on the beach and in the sea, for goodness sake it is a natural Superstar though, it was explained to me by 2 Sardinian gentlemen who here uses to move the seaweed but not remove them .. moreover they stink.
The problem is that here they also charge air, even just an ice cream at the beach bar costs a lot, at least keep them clean!
Having some clean water doesn't justify this crap I've seen much much nicer places with more honest prices and people working to keep them clean and cozy

The beach is very deep and the sea is beautiful, very suitable for families with children or elderly people but what a price!
Considering that there is no bathroom on the beach, an umbrella goes from €25 in the second row to €32 in the 4th at the Chia beach club, at the end of September. Add to that the canonical €5-6 euros of daily parking strictly without a receipt.
Petulant street vendors who outnumber the beach patrons and therefore harass you every quarter of an hour.
Meh. The potential is there but we should do better

Beautiful, very extensive white sand beach. Lots of people in summer. We went there around 5 p.m., the beach was starting to empty out a little. The water is turquoise and crystal clear. It's not too cold! A truly good moment of relaxation with a superb setting.
There is paid parking nearby (4€)
We stayed there until nightfall.
On the other hand, we had traffic jams on the way back.

Beautiful beach, deep, with fine sand and crystal clear sea. They are protecting the dunes to preserve them, despite everything there is always some cunning man walking on them, despite the signs, to take a selfie. There are stretches of beach equipped but also very free. Today with wind, great fun for surfers and kitesurfers.

As far as we are concerned, Sardinia is CANCELLED! Leaving aside the experiences of previous days we come to today.
You get to the famous and famous Su Giudeu Beach, you are forced to enter the paid parking lots (and so far ok) the electronic machine or the app forces you to pay more than 8 € crazy thing because I might want to stay an hour and then move.
No nothing, you pay as much as they want to stay as long as they want.
If you stop in the bathroom .. obviously Pay .. you pay to have a dirty Turkish, a tap that does not work, all of course without toilet paper.
You finally get to the beach, nice for goodness sake, but I've seen much more beautiful ones outside Sardinia and more cared for. Buy 2 ice creams and pay 8€ (4€ each a packed Algida cone)
Here there is the rule "you are in Sardinia you have to pay for the air" well as far as we are concerned keep Sardinia that we do not like at all!

Very nice, big beach. It was very busy though (normal in summer) and unfortunately so windy that we left after an hour. The prices for the loungers and umbrellas in the Bagnos are insane. Make sure you bring your own equipment.

Very large beach with white sand and shallow seabed. In front, not far away, is the islet Su Giudeu and behind it a large lagoon. Reachable in a few minutes on foot from the Erbexili car park (4 euros for the whole day in June 2023), it is a sandy beach, which invites you to take long walks on the shore. There is a kiosk and the possibility of renting deckchairs and umbrellas. To the north there are some rocks and a small promontory that divides it from the Campana Dune beach. But it is worth going even further north and taking a 10 minute walk from the Campana car park (or 15 minutes from the cheaper Erbexili) to enjoy a small beach which for me is the most beautiful in the area, Cala del Morto. Small, wild, surrounded by lush nature, reachable only on foot along an easy path surrounded by greenery. There are no bars or deckchairs or umbrellas. But the sea is fantastic.
