The only way to see the inside of this small, but magnificent castle (one of Ludwig's castles) is to take the guided tour. Tours are offered in various languages, so please be sure to ask when purchasing your tickets. Although the castle tour is short,...More

Spent afternoon in palace and grounds, enjoyed immensely. Palace smaller than I expected, but in very good condition and fully furnished. Guided tour very informative. Grounds nice for walk, other smaller, interesting buildings to see. Well worth visit.

Start your tour here on your day to see the castles in this region. It's less crowded in the morning compared to Neuschwanstein. Take time to enjoy the gardens. The interior tour is beautiful but brief. A good start for young kids.

The castle is small. Honestly I enjoyed the gardens more than the inside. The tour is nice and tells you the history behind this castle that was built for a single man.

Relatively small castle, compared to Neuschwanstein castle, but more beautiful. The inside of the castle is truly worth going. Make sure to spend some time in the outside for the water fountain in the center to start (its not continuous). The rive from Neuschwanstein to...More

So this is the small house that Mad King Ludwig built himself. Linderhof is located in a secluded valley, with amazing grounds and a view to die for. There is a charge to enter the house (this is a big house...palace is not an appropriate...More
