A Wonderful Underground Adventure

The accessibility of the cave is fantastic and allows the visitor to get up close and personal with all the formations in the cave. A real treasure.

Enter caves by electric train (take coat) 1 hour guided tour (in French) but plenty of time to look and take photos (no flash). Beautiful displays of natural rock formations and caves. Discount voucher available from some nearby campsites knocking cost from 20 euros a couple down to 16

On a very wet day, my partner and I decided to visit the cave. It was easy to find and parking is directly opposite the entrance and free of charge. We did not have to queue for tickets and although there was a fairly long queue for the train, we got on the train within minutes. The train was packed... More

The outside of the caves wasn't very promising, partly because the train that leads into the caves could use an upgrade and the woman selling tickets was very unfriendly.* Once in the caves, the sequence of different spaces with their majestic geological formations was absolutely stunning. With outside temperatures of over 30°C, the cool cave temperature of less than 20°C... More

Visited these caves at the last minute and were pleasantly surprised. Having spent hours queuing at the gouffe de padriac earlier in the week it was a joy to be travelling on the little train that takes you into the caves with in 5 minutes of arriving. There is a lot to see and as other reviewers have said it... More

Well worth a visit and restaurant opposite is actual perfectly good too! Bit airless when you get down inside and anyone with claustrophobia should probably avoid! Ultra violet lit stallactites impressive.

The journey begins on an uphill rid on an electric train. Once of the train steps or lift..... If you have any problem walking take the lift it's a long way up otherwise. Beautiful tour of the caves although everything was in French (not a problem here but if you don't understand the language, you don't get the history). Tour... More

Very interesting tour, albeit the guide only spoke French not a problem for us. Be prepared for about a mile walk after getting off the electric train which is up and down stairs which can be slippery. Well worth a visit especially on an overcast day

This was recommended by a friend and the idea of an electric train taking you into the caves appealed. Wow! Just an amazing visit, staff brilliant and very knowledgeable, nice leisurely paced visit and so different from Padirac. A must see.
