Visited here on Saturday . We got the boat from Tenby for £12 and the service and friendliness of the crew was excellent . From the moment I stepped foot onto Caldey you can just feel how unique it is . It is so peaceful and everywhere has an amazing beauty and tranquil feel . The churches are beautiful places... More

Lovely place to go for a walk to see more beautiful countryside, the staff in the shops/cafe/ chocolate factory could not be more helpful and answered questions politely even though they have been asked those questions hundreds of times before "do you live on the island" etc ! I asked that question! Lovely boat trip good photo opportunities .

A calm crossing for October! But perfect for a quiet retreat .... we listened to two sung / chanted offices by the monks. A very simple and grounding experience. You can stay on the island if you wish for more than a day trip, but if doing so you would need to to take ALL provisions with you, there are... More

Excellent day out for couples, families or individuals. Beautiful coastal walks with exceptional views, often opportunities to see seals. The monastery is beautiful and you can find lots of information about the monks - past and present. There is a beautiful chocolate shop there, souvenir shops and a little museum. The beach is beautiful and there are beach wheelchairs for... More

We went on a cool October day and due to high tide the boat had to leave us there until 4.30pm - we went at 1pm. Due to lack of shelter on the island we were freezing by 4.30pm. Even the tea room doesn't allow you to sit inside. A few shops, nice walks, churches and a lighthouse to see.... More

As a proud Welshman it's a must to visit the island. Very peaceful and we was lucky to catch it on a beautiful sunny day. The chocolate shop is fantastic. Will be going again in the future summers.

The Monastic Island of Caldey is definately worth a visit. It's mysterious, calm and peaceful with the most beautiful Monastery at it's centre. A few little retreats, shop and you can even send your post cards from there. Probably the most tranquil of locations in Pembrokeshire and when viewed from the air, the island is shaped like a cross.
