An incredible place! They have done a lot to make it enjoyable for everyone! The restaurant was crowded during the lunch rush. The antique furniture helped to see what it may have looked like years ago! The story about the place as romantic and sad. It is a long beautiful drive to get here, and so worth it.

Went to this lovely place with my husband and father in law. I had 30 euro worth of Tesco clubcard boost vouchers for the admission. Normal price for an adult is 13 euro and 10 euro for seniors so I paid the 6 euro difference in cash. Delighted with that. The abbey is apparently standing on a 15.000 hectares so... More

Fairy tale wonderland is the first thought as I saw Kylemore Abbey nestled by the water. Truly a marvel to behold and experience. Gorgeous and well worth the effort to get there!

We prioritized going here over everything else we had scheduled for that day. I'm so glad that we did. We wondered around in amazement for hours. What a beautiful setting. What a beautiful Abbey. The gardens were beautiful even in the March chill. Walking through the abbey, we were able to read about the history of this wonderful place. We... More

Late February/early March isn't ideal for visiting Ireland. Many shops are still closed and the weather is pretty wet and raw. That said, our visit to Kylemore still stands out as one of the most beautiful places I saw in Ireland. The grounds are lovely and easy to get around and the main house itself is well curated to tell... More

Another beauty in Ireland. The grounds are huge and there is a lot of walking but when you are surrounded by so much to look at it doesn't feel like you are walking much. The Abbey itself is so nice. Take the time to read and look at all the detail. There is also a church, gardens and the burial... More

At €13 per person to enter, I first thought it was a bit steep to take a walk in the woodlands. However, the walled garden tour, the use of the shuttle bus and the gardeners house and bothy being open to view as well as the walks around the walled gardens.. combined with access to the gothic church and the... We had originally booked a tour to The Cliffs of Moher but were able to switch days and visit the Abbey. Our tour guide, Michael O'Malley from Galway Tours, was excellent. He explained sights and history with clarity, knowledge and great wit. We were on the bus a long time but stopped for photos and to get explanations of landmarks... More
