A wonderful day trip to this delightful little resort! It is very picturesque and the service was great. A lovely escape from the busy mainland and very peaceful.

We spent three days on Filicudi and ended up at Lidalina on two of the afternoons. The atmosphere is calm, the water is great for swimming and snorkeling and the food is very good

The best place in Filicudi is Lidalina beach. It is on a nature reserve between the sea and the steep mountain side, getting sun until about 6PM. It is run by a woman from the UK who has been there for more than 20 years who is very friendly. You can reserve a chaise lounge under a hatched roof umbrella for the day. She has set up a great dock for swimming, there are rock sculptures by someone who visits every summer, tasty food for lunch or dinner, and most of all, it's a quiet haven with no blaring music, just a quiet place for low conversation, reading, sunning and resting. Plan to have an apero and/or dinner at the La Sirena on your way out, where you can sit and watch local and vacationing families come in from boating, do a little shopping at a small local store, and get local wine and grilled fish -- make sure to have the octopus! If you leave before sunset, make sure you walk the path just above this area for a panoramic view of that side of the island -- ask for directions.

Its a paradice with lovely food, lovely staff and a jetty to get over the stoned beach to the crystal clear water. Believe me you won't want to leave.
