Nice winery
Aug 2021 • Couples
We had a great time at Golan Winery. We ordered the cheese platter with wine. There is a beautiful outside area to sit and it was all really enjoyable. Even without doing the tour. I would go back !

I liked the Cab
Mar 2020
I normally go for blends, but I liked the Cab better. Nice tasting room with cheese and crackers. Kosher.

The Mashgiach showed us around for over an hour and then let us taste some pretty good vintages. Good deal.

Great tour and tasting
Dec 2019
What an impressive facility! We had a very enjoyable and exciting tour and then went to the tasting room where we tasted several wines and the children tasted juices. The winery was very friendly and helpful and was great with the kids. Best of all, we purchased lots of wine and honey to fight BDS at the end!

Beautiful setting
Oct 2019
It is a beautiful setting here and the drive was great from Tiberias. The wines we tried were all very good. They have a nicely setup gift shop with many items to choose from.
Nice landscaping.

More than dissatisfied
Sep 2019
It starts with a short explanation about making wine. Then the employee presented one sparkling, one white, two red and one red ‘porto’ wine.
The wine was horrible for me, hence I asked for Syrah and Merlot but hat 10€ wine I would never taste and buy at my usual wine seller. Will not come back for tasting and will buy other wine.

Great winery!
Aug 2019 • Friends
This is a great winery in the Golan Heights region not far from the sea of Galilee. They have a shop with lots of varieties, and will help you pick out the best wine for your event or tasting. They offer tastings as well, however we arrived late in the day and the tasting schedule was over. They have souvenirs, as well as indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy whatever you purchase. Parking is close, but it’s a little far away from a major city so you need transportation.

Wow, Has This Business Grown !
Aug 2019
Hubby and I first visited the Golan Heights Winery in 2007, when it was fairly newly established in the world of wine. The winery's first vines were planted in 1976, yielding its first vintage in 1984. Meanwhile the company expanded from one label to four distinct wine labels, and dozens of choices to suit every palate. Golan Heights Winery is known for starting the quality revolution in Israeli wine production, being the first winery in Israeli to produce award-winning wines.

This trip to Israel, we made the drive from Tiberias up to the winery specifically to purchase more of its exquisite dessert wine, commonly known as an ice wine, or a mistake of nature. The Golan Heights version is called "Heights Wine", and it's almost worth traveling 7,000 miles to buy it.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about each of the labels, as well as each wine produced under a particular label. The tour includes a wine tasting at the end. Five wines are offered, and I passed on the syrah and the cabernet because I'm never a fan of either. The other three were delightful.

You have an opportunity to taste unlimited wines in the lobby of the retail store. A machine there will dispense individual taste servings of whatever you want to try, for a small fee. Prices for a bottle of Golan Heights wine ranges from very reasonable to steep. Heights Wine is approx $35 USD per "half-bottle", and worth it.

Quality Winery
Jun 2019 • Family
The Golan Heights Winery jointly owned by eight Israeli settlements viz. moshavim and kibbutzim is located in Katzrin, built on the site of an agricultural village from the Mishnaic period in the Golan Heights and markets wine under the Golan, Yarden and Gamla labels. Thought more Reds are manufactured they also do manufacture a couple of spectacular whites. Wine tasting with a detailed explanation of the wine making process which is coupled with a tour of the facility make the visit a truly enjoyable one. Wines and related products can be purchased fro a very orderly store on the facility. The winery has won worldwide acclaim and awards and is a “must visit”.
