The "Olea Essence" Olive Oil Press is a unique place in the ancient Jewish city of Qatzrin in the Golan Heights. Our Olive Oil Press produces one of the world's best extra virgin olive oils. We also produce 100% Natural Skin Care Products and a 100% Natural EcoOlea Green Cleaning line, all based on our own olives and olive oil. We offer guided tours through our ecological olive oil press and olive oil skin care center. We explain the process starting with olive harvesting through olive oil pressing all the way to olive oil based fully natural skin care production. We'll explain you how we recycle the olive press's residue into fully natural cleaning products. The tour includes a short film and finishes with a gourmet tasting of our different flavors of extra virgin olive oil and a visit to our shop selling our famous olive oils and Olea Essence Natural Cosmetics. The farm's olive orchards are spread along the North shore of the Sea of Galilee in the ancient villages of Migdal (Magdale), Tabha, Beit Saida, Capernaum and the Western slopes of the Golan Heights. Our olive trees are grown in an organic and sustainable way and our olive oil is organic and kosher. We're looking forward to show you around! I have travelled with few members of my family and a tour guide. Olea Essence was unplanned stop, offered at the last minute by our tour guide. We bought few small containers of garlic infused oil, which was very good. I am planning to order it on line. The other most important gift I purchased, was a cream from psoriasis (rehabilitation skin cream) for my father-in-law. I didn't put much hope into it, until we arrived back and he tried it. He is older gentleman, and has been struggling with psoriasis for a long time. It actually made a difference and he use it all the time. I even ordered more online together with a shower gel. The service at the shop was very good. We have tried all types of oil. My next order for sure will be garlic infused oil( very settle aroma, not to strong in comparison to others I've tried before), maybe other types, and for sure I want to try hair serum with silk protein. The international shipping came with no issues, and packaged well. Too bad we didn't have enough time to tour the facility. Hopefully next time we visit Israel!

In general, this is a manufacturing plant with a small themed grocery store and a small cafeteria. The second and third can be visited free of charge. The first can be viewed as part of a guided tour for a small fee(visit a website).
Honestly, it's a very authentic and nice place that is definitely deserves attention.

Not to be missed. The owner is wonderful. The presentation with regard to how the business got started was very informative. The olive oil tasting was wonderful…and the skin care products are truly amazing. We purchased all the olive oils that were tasted..since we cook and entertain a lot. Also, purchased skin products that are unique and can only get via online. All products were shipped…..the staff is extremely knowledgeable. A place not to be missed……

Olive oil and wine! What a great combination. Our group had a delightful presentation by a New Yorker - great sense of humor. She explained the history of the company, the process of making olive oil, and the benefits of the beauty products. We were also treated to hand treatments as well as a tasting of all the olive oils. What a wonderful break in our trip. The shop had a great selection for purchase - did purchase wine and several bottles of the olive oils for gifts. Take your time for the presentation and samplings. Everyone in our group enjoy the stop and bought something - for themselves and as gifts. Great afternoon!

I visited the store while on pilgrimage to Israel and it was fascinating. I love the products although they are expensive for a locally produced commodity. My problem came with online service once I came home. I ordered 3 items, they took payment on my credit card and then sent nothing. Their customer service does not respond and I cannot take my case to the owner because they block communication. So I caution you not to order via their website. I lost $196 US. So very disappointed!

Learned about how high quality olive oil is processed and got to taste different kinds and flavors. Also introduced us to hyssop as a seasoning. Well worth a side trip.
Of lesser interest was their beauty product lines, which may appeal with some travelers.

Our tour guide made a surprise stop at OleanEssence and it made my day. The tour was great and the products are wonderful. It has been six months since our visit and I am running low on the spices I purchased.

Olea Essence is a small factory that makes both olive oils and cosmetics from olive byproducts. The emphasis here is on sustainability, as the byproducts formerly seeped into the ground and contaminated the water supply. They had a video explaining the process, had our group wash our hands in the soap, a gritty, dark-colored liquid that nevertheless got our hands clean, and then brought us a selection of olive oils to try. As you might expect, the products are more expensive than these olive oils and cosmetics typically are, but this is a unique operation.

Our tour guide brought us to this shop for lunch where we had some great soup and sandwiches and tea. After lunch, we had a tour showing us how olive oil was made and what products come from them. Had time to taste different olive oils, wash our hands in a great 'soap' and even had shopping time. We saw an OLD olive tree and olive press. Good time spent.
