Part of Les Plus Beaux Villages associations and it shows. With only 233 inhabitants, it is small, but perfectly formed. Well worth a visit, especially for lunch to make the most of it.

While driving from Caen to Rouen in Basse-Normandy, I took a side road off of A-13 to the absolutely stunning village of Bauvron-En-Auge. While the village is small, there is a lovely tourist center offering specialties from the local Cider Trail. The pure apple juice...More

If you like seeing old buildings retained but as used rather than as museums then this place is for you. The approach to the village, from the Peage Motorway gives an early sight of what you'll be seeing. The village itself has a beautiful square...More

This is a charming (I won't say twee) little village of traditional Norman half-timbered buildings around a covered market. It's clearly set up for tourists and all cynicism aside is a lovely stop, particularly for lunch or, no doubt, dinner if you're staying nearby. We...More

A quaint place in Normandy. Stunning typical historical village in Normandy. The village boasts a few really good restaurants and cafes. It also happens to be on "la route du cidre" where some of the county's best producers of cider and calvados can be found....More

I had taken several visitors here over the years and recently returned to visit a few of the shops. It is a very pretty town and the shops are interesting. Guests always left with a scarf, a hat or some food from the region. There...More

A small village best visited in high season as it seems to shut down through the winter months. It has an intersting selection of shops, like an old-fashioned toy shop and a mix of clothes and food outlets. The creperie is great for daytime lunches...More

I've seen many 'Beau Villages' in France. This one is nice, but not one of the best. It's a bit small and really doesn't offer much. Cute homes, nice little center with a few cute shops. We saw other villages that day that were just...More
