Though not so well known, it's a great garden for people of all ages. Big well maintained gardens, nice ponds, kids play grounds, bbq, toilets and free parking, all in one place. The waterfall had dried up when we visited but there were many ducks...More

While the Gardens have their ups and downs. (A Downer being some louts attacking THE WILDLIFE SOME YEARS AGO.)The good news it is still free , still plenty of Australian wildlife for the kids. And the Kiosk is still available for hire.

Unless you're a local, most people don't know about Central Gardens. My son and I went for a walk around here on Saturday morning and it was fairly quiet at 9am. The emus and kangaroos were out sunning themselves, and some wallabies had babies in...More

Nice park, very shady with lots of options - lake, different picnic areas, lots of paths for riding and playgrounds. There is a little wildlife reserve where you can see emu's and wallaby's. My little sister loved that!

You can walk very little if you want to just have a picnic. The animals aren't too far from car park on Merrylands road. And yes wheelchair accessible
