Nice place from outside, as a big minus: there is no possibility to have the tour in English, you will just receive a printed version of the tour in Eng that will cost you extra 30Kc

One of the most impressive castles in Czech Republic and all central europe, it was build at the peak of the medieval castle building era right before invention of firearms

Tour of the castle from 12th century, takes 80 min and the guide will show you gothic and 19th century part of the castle. The castle is open only until 3 PM in winter and if you get there in winter please layer up as inside of castle is sometimes colder than outside. We were lucky to have amazing guide,... More

Nice castle in the middle of large woods, I have been there several times usually on some special occasion. The best was Krivoklani this October 2016

If you are planning a long trip just to see this castle you'd better change your mind. It's an old castle (900 years old) very well preserved and nothing more.

It was a scenic and somewhat long drive from Plzen to Krivoklat...just to find it is closed because they are making a movie there. Oh, well, looked interesting but also lots of scaffolding on it. So, off to Karlstejn Castle instead.

The drive to the castle is really nice. I was traveling during summer and the drive to Krivoklat was really relaxing and wonderful. The castle is on a small kind of hill and is called Krivoklat because of the uneven surface on which it was built on. There are tours which range from 45 mins to 90 mins. The tours... More

The castle is in the middle of a beautiful forest. We went by car and we parked it very close, near a restaurant. The rest of the way we walked. At the entrance of the castle you can find a shop with souvenirs and tickets. Also a museum. The museum is not very big but is cute and is for... More
