Excellent provision and consideration of Covid secure measures. Fantastic show and excellent to see a live performance. Would recommend.

Called in yesterday for a coffee break. Nice and airy place with a number of socially distanced tables. Seemed to be "the place" for people to meet and there was a happy "buzz" to the establishment. Found a comfortable sofa to sit at with my friend and we enjoyed our little stop and will call again sometime.

My husband and I went to see the latest exhibition at Number 8 something we had really looked forward to. The exhibition was good but the volunteers were hapless to say the least. Our hot drinks were not very nice at
Im afraid to say.
We went to look at the exhibition and our drinks were taken away from our table my was unfinished. To be quite honest I was glad to see the back of It!
Then we returned to our table to have a little look at some leaflets we'd picked up off the stand. It was about 1.50 and I knew that Number 8 closed at 4.00pm that day.
We heard one of the volunteers say ",Do them two in the corner knew we're closing"
I asked the box off lady what time they closed and she confirmed 4.00pm.
We were just minding our own business and were entitled to seat there.
I subsequently found out from the sign that the refreshments closed at 2.00pm but that was neither here or there as we didn't want anymore drinks .
The attitude ruined our afternoon and will not be going back.
Volunteers should be just as professional as paid staff perhaps more training is needed.
We could have been anybody sat in that corner.

Number Eight is always a good place to go for a good film but during the day it is also a friendly place to meet up and have some of their excellent cakes and coffee.

We often see a film here, and it’s lovely. Clean and tidy, and the film showings are always on time, at the right volume, and the right atmosphere. I would choose Number 8 over a lot of the big chains, for value, choice, bar, customers, and everything else for a nice evening out.

A community centre run by volunteers. It has a good cafe and changing exhibitions. The seating in the cinema has improved. Good quality ice cream !! and plenty of women's toilets!!!

Came to watch Downton Abbey, Having never been here before we didn't know what to expect. What a fantastic place. From the foyer to the bar to the auditorium everything lends itself to a brilliant atmosphere. The staff are all volunteers and are so helpful and kind. We will certainly be back. The film wasn't bad either.
