About
The Gallery - A vibrant gallery run by an artist, representing artists, for art lovers, bringing the chance for visitors to see and buy an ever-changing selection of colourful artwork in a fantastic art space. The Gallery showcases watercolour and pop art artist Jilly Oxlade-Arnott, known for her fine line ink and watercolour works of historical and significant buildings. Her use of vibrant colours, with an emphasis on the subject leaving the rest to fine line ink, produces a unique and stunning artwork. The Gallery will also display a constant rotation of works by guest artists in many different mediums, from oils to ceramics. They will be holding ‘met the artist’ evenings and many art events as the year progresses. “We’ll have new work virtually every day and cater for every budget in a vibrant and inspiring environment,” she says, “From one off sculpture to limited edition prints" states Gallery Curator Chris Oxlade-Arnott.

My father collected militaria and my son inherited his collection, part of which was a painstakingly constructed montage of Hussar regimental badges in a home made frame, with labels made from filed and smoothed lolly sticks. The frame eventually disintegrated and my son decided that he would like the badges professionally framed as a gift.Chris painstakingly removed the pins fixing the badges, ordered new felt in Cavalry Blue, refixed the lolly sticks holding in the badges and created a frame around the old frame and glass. While he told of his journey into making the frame he revived such happy memories of my father - not a straight line in sight, emery boards hidden as packing in the frame- that we laughed with so much affection. But he was also respectful in trying to keep as much of Dad's work as he could. We like to think that our father was looking at us, pleased that we were looking after the badges, but stunned that we would'nt attempt it ourselves! Chris has given us all a treasured memory of our father and my son's grandfather which is now a family story. And that is beyond price so thank you to Chris and Jilly for your help.

A wonderful browse around the gallery this afternoon, Pershore is so very lucky to have this on their door step. Wow, stunning artwork by Jilly Oxlade-Arnott and work of a few other local artists. Jilly's husband, Chris, was the perfect host in the gallery, nothing was too much trouble for Chris. The gallery is super dog friendly as our 10 week old pup, Beau, was treated to his first gravy bone!
Would thoroughly recommend making time to visit, the work is outstanding and a must see, we will be back.
