I believe this is one of the longest tunnels in Norway. I was traveling with family and I've never been in a tunnel like this before, so it was very interesting. I'm sure if you are claustrophobic you might not like it.

It is a tunnel. It is very long, 24 kilometeres. I think it is still the longes tunnel for cartraffic in the world. In took five years to be finished - opened i 2000, and cost 1 billion norwegian kroner.

I have a certain degree of claustrophobia and was very skeptical about taking this tunnel. Believe me... your alternative route is an absolute and total nightmare that you just DO NOT want to take. The alternate route LOOKS like it only has a few hairpin...More

Well, driving through a tunnel is not really an attraction in itself, but this one is special as it is the longest road tunnel of the world. Despite the meeting traffic, driving there feels surprisingly save, and the 3 caves with extra light effects after...More

The worlds longest tunnel for cars. Very long! In 3 places the tunnel expands to caves with blue lightning, which is a nice variation to the endless soft curve.

This tunnel is the longest I have ever been to. It took us about 40 minutes to get out of it. My son (4 years old) got really tired of sitting in the dark. However, they have tried to make the tunnel more interesting by...More

There are many long tunnels in Norway but this with its 25 plus miles is the longest. It is well built and has 3 areas enlarged and well lit in different colors. It takes more than 20 min to drive trough but the road above...More

Tunnels in Norway can be kilometres long, 15 minutes or more to drive through is not uncommon, but this one was special. Seemingly to counteract the driving fatigue, the lighting in 2 sections at roundabouts was remarkable. Good one Norway, great example.
