City palace houses the court of Alwar. You can see many offices of government inside. The location is quite awkward and the lawyers desks outside seems to feel that you are entering some court. Not that much worthy to visit. On top floor is the museum. Not much of an attraction.

A place you can avoid if you have any other options, there is nothing as such that you can enjoy, there is one small pond named as Sagar, and one Chatri named as Moosi Maharani Chatri, You can click a lot of pictures there, Its a photogenic place.

The city palace is beautiful, because Alwar was a city which lived with peace treaties through history its architecture has survived the test of time, and wars. The city palace is in very good condition and the museum is awesome. It's a good visit.

This placed used to be the former main palace of Alwar city in past but mainly houses government offices now. There was not much to see actually apart from kids taking snaps with the structures of the palace.

Advise: take a guide which one can get at the main entrance (approxINR200) Atleast this way u can do justices to the time (approx2/3hrs) spend knowing the City Palace It's a historic place with some beautiful structures , museum and a water body(tank). There is no entry fee, except for the museum (fee of INR20 per adult) which is divided... More

I will suggest to not waste time here. The place has good structures but it seems that authorities do not want any tourists to come here. To begin with, city palace is converted into collectorate office. For tourists, there are only two sections which are of interest mausi maharani ki chatri and government museum. Mausi maharani ki chatri is a... More
