Pl keep the area clean it is so huge and beautiful. The meuseum at the top floor closer at 1700 which is too early by any tourist std. Parking is a mess for 50 bucks. This placed used to be the former main palace of Alwar city in past but mainly houses government offices now. There was not much to see actually apart from kids taking snaps with the structures of the palace.

Advise: take a guide which one can get at the main entrance (approxINR200) Atleast this way u can do justices to the time (approx2/3hrs) spend knowing the City Palace It's a historic place with some beautiful structures , museum and a water body(tank). There is no entry fee, except for the museum (fee of INR20 per adult) which is divided... More

I will suggest to not waste time here. The place has good structures but it seems that authorities do not want any tourists to come here. a palace converted into a museum ..has some treasure in there .the court yard has nice marbel lotus domes.

Shocked to reach there to see the palace. May in the past it was a palace,but now we see it as a cricket play ground inside the palace. Not maintained. However there is a museum on the top floor which is best to see once...

Its a nice combinations of history and heritage. Location is also very good away from chaos. Kids also enjoyed a lot.

It has nothing to see except the outside structure. Nothing is maintained or accessible inside. Can be avoided.

Just the right mix of history, heritage, approachability and away from chaos. It was nice to be out with kids where we were not lost in the crowd
